About

Jayden Maroun (2007) is a Lebanese/Russian pianist. He currently studies with professor Naum Grubert at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. Jayden was born on the mediterranean island of Cyprus, and began lessons with pianist Liana Plotnikova at age 4. 

From age 7, he has regularly taken part of Internationally recognized Music competitions and has claimed prizes in many. These include the Feurich International Piano Competition in Vienna (2nd Place), Piano Competition "Pearl lake" in North Macedonia(1st Place), International Piano Competition in the name of Davitashvili in Georgia (2nd Place) and others.

Jayden participated in a multitude of European Music Festivals such as the “Con Brio” Festival in Hochheim, Germany. The “Island Music” festival in Nicosia, Cyprus. The International Gnessin Summer School Festival in Moscow, Russia. “Klassiek op het Amstelveld” Festival in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.


Having just turned 14, he already collaborated with the Cyprus Youth Symphony Orchestra as invited Soloist for the 2021-22 season, performing the Grieg Piano Concerto in A minor, Op.16. Two years later, at 16, he gave his first solo recital presenting a program exploring the progression of music from the baroque to the late romantic period.



He has worked with well-known pianists and professors in masterclasses including Ludmila Berlinskaya (Ecole Normale de Paris Alfred Cortot), Sergei Glavatskih (Moscow State Conservatory in the name of Tchaikovsky), Elisabeth Eschwé (Vienna, MDW). In 2024 Jayden studied under professor Hanna Shybayeva (Conservatorium van Amsterdam) with whom he completed a year long pre-bachelor programme.
